“Penne in borsa 2017”: open call for two writing residencies in Umbria, Italy

Athanasios VenitsanopoulosItaly, News

Federazione Unitaria Italiana Scrittori (FUIS) has established two writing residencies in Casteldilago, Umbria, Italy, for emerging writers. One residency will go to an Italian writer and the other to a writer from outside Italy.

FUIS wishes to involve other national authors’ associations in this initiative by inviting them to put forward candidates from within their memberships, as well as accepting applications from authors independently.

Reserving one of the residencies for foreign writers is a way to create and tighten bonds between national authors’ associations as members of the International Authors Forum. It offers an interesting opportunity to put writers from different nations in touch with each other and to create new possibilities for networking, while allowing authors to find new ways, time and occasions to find success in what they do best: writing.
