The International Authors Forum (IAF) in partnership with the Argentine Association of Translators and Interpreters (AATI), Mexican Association of Literary Translators (AMETLI) and Colombian Association of Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters (ACTTI) is delighted to invite you to the third of our series of Tertulias: “Mismo idioma, diferente significado”. “Tertulia” is the name for a type of meeting which took place historically in Latin America, in which artists gathered to share their work, discuss political matters, to provide solidarity and take action on issues they were facing.

Adam Feinstein will be hosting this event. During the “Tertulia” you will enjoy readings of poetry in a variety of languages translated into the Spanish particular to different countries. You will explore the importance of respecting the diversity that exists within the Spanish language in the practice of translation.

You can read more about the speakers in Spanish here.

The event will be held online via Zoom on 8th October at 17:00 – 18:30 BST.
